vs2022 tests running fine but steps no longer link to step definition code

I tried to look up the temp folder to see if there was specmap to delete. Could not find any.

Tried un-install and re-install of the specflow plugin but that did not help either

What's the issue?

• Cannot do a F12 from my feature file steps
• color coding for the parameter values missing
• New steps also show that "all steps have been defined" even though there is no code behind for that

The specflow vs project is .net 7.0
