I am experiencing the same thing. I am unable to navigate to any step definitions in Visual Studio. It looks like the last update to the VS Extension was last year. Is there any plan to update it to handle .Net 8?

Klara Hovstadius thank you very much! I really appreciate it.

Any new news on this support for .Net8 front.  My organization is planning on a full migration to .Net 8 by second quarter this year.  We have a large Framework built around SpecFlow.

I am trying to setup a new project and even with the package mentioned it does not say an SDK higher and .Net 6. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I uninstalled the SpecFlow and reinstalled and it still has a limit of .Net 6.

I'm about to start a new project with .Net 8, so could really do with this.

For me it is working well with .Net 8 and the file I posted about earlier

My team will likely want to wait for an operational SpecFlow .Net 8 version published to the Market place. Is there a general idea of when this might happen?

Perhaps it's time to move away from SpecFlow: https://reqnroll.net/news/2024/02/from-specflow-to-reqnroll-why-and-how/

Finally, got time to play with the VSIX package.  Thank you Klara for providing the Link.  It worked like a charm.  I was nervous there would have been issues.

I switched to Reqnroll and everything is working great. Creating new steps is a little strange as the new step structure that is added to the clipboard requires me to change the placeholders for the step to be resolved form the feature. It is minor. Hopefully it continues to be updated.

Yep, switching to Reqnroll. Seems to work so far. I have not gotten the sense that Tricentis was interested in being a good steward for this product which is sad since it has so much to offer!
