[SpecFlow] Allow adding the property tag to the feature level for Specflow.externalData
Hello,
Currently there is no way to parameterize the feature other than using Runner under which it needs an activation to work. This is a limitation for spec flow. Even using Specflow.external data and the property can be set only on the scenario level and not on the feature level. I would like to be able to set the property on the feature level under which the external data can be passed and thus ever feature will run multiple times based on the properties that are set on the feature.

Hi Khaled,
thanks a lot for taking the time and sending us your request. As already briefly discussed in a different thread this feature is currently not supported.
In case you are interested to contribute SpecFlow.ExternalData is open-sourced: https://github.com/SpecFlowOSS/SpecFlow/tree/master/Plugins/SpecFlow.ExternalData.
Besides, that we are currently collecting all community requests, prioritize them and try to further improve the SpecFlow ecosystem.
We will keep you updated.

Hello Mario,
So basically I understand from your reply that adding the property tag to the feature level will be implemented but you can't specify an exact date right?

Hi Khaled,
it might be implemented based on how many other people upvote on the feature request and our product roadmap. Right now based on the votes and feedback we received overall the probability that we implement it in the near/mid-term future is quite low.
But since the source code is open-source the person with the most urgent need can implement the feature and contribute it back in order to share it with the community.
